Re: OMD CONTRACTS
      IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!!!!!

As you are aware OEMS has passed a revision to the rules and regulations governing EMS. Your agency should have received mailings from OEMS regarding this.

In these new rules and regulations the requirements regarding OMD’s have changed significantly. The agency and the OMD must have a contract agreement. Prior to this a letter from the OMD willing to serve was sufficient. This is no longer acceptable under the new OEMS rules and regulations. Many agency’s have not been aware of this new requirement upon agency inspection.

To assist in this and to save the region much duplicated effort I have enclosed a sample contract that we made for the region.. Feel free to use this document as you wish, I have also placed this version on our web page for you to download for easier editing. I have also sent an electronic copy to all of the regional OMD’s. At last weeks OMD meeting I presented this to the committee for review. Those present felt it a satisfactory document.
You are free to write your own agreement, however please review the OMD requirements in the rules and regulations to meet all requirements.
