Re: EMS Week

EMS week is from May 20-26. Do you have anything planned? Do you have any suggestions?

I have talked to the area malls and they are receptive to us setting up displays and or using the parking lot during this week. They are okay with us actually placing an ambulance within the mall, however it must be in early before the mall opens and out after closing. Staunton mall indicated we would not be able to place the ambulance in the mall on Friday or Saturday nights due to their "sidewalk sale". We could rotate agencies for the different nights of the week.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you want to participate? Maybe a child safety seat inspection to draw people in. Let me know ASAP if you want to do anything. Need time to get things lined up.

On another note- PPCR’s. Many agencies have called stating they are running critically low. The state has evidently fallen behind in sending out the new version. I have some at the office if you are critically short. Call if you need. Also if you have extra’s and can spare a few to help out let me know as well. I will be glad to come and get them. I will due what I can to help, I have called the state office to explain the regions problem. They assure they are working hard to get the PPCR’s out. At least they know we are upset.
