| Council Enhanced
course to start in August |

The
Central Shenandoah EMS Council will offer an
EMT-Enhanced course starting August 18, 2008 at the
Grottoes Rescue Squad in Grottoes, VA. Interested providers should download the application packet and follow the directions
carefully. The program is scheduled to conclude
with state testing January 17, 2009. If you

| Fall Intermediate
course slated |
| Program will include an
EMT-Basic track |
|
The
Central Shenandoah EMS Council will offer an
EMT-Intermediate/99 course starting July 31, 2008 at the
Council office in Staunton. This year will
mark the first time the Council will offer an EMT-B
to EMT-Intermediate track. The program will be
open for enrollment of both EMT-B and EMT-Enhanced
providers. EMT-Enhanced providers will not be
required to attend classes that cover material
already covered by the EMT-Enhanced curriculum.
Interested providers should download the appropriate
application packet and follow the directions
carefully. All candidates will be required to
take an entrance examination. Entrance
examinations will be conducted through June 25,
2008. The program is scheduled to conclude
with NREMT testing on June 27, 2009. If you
