Central Shenandoah EMS
Council coordinates a Critical Incident Stress Management team (CISM).
Emergency care can take a psychological toll on providers. This team
helps emergency workers by
providing Critical Incident Stress Debriefings. The team consists of mental health professionals and emergency providers who
have taken special training.
This is available anywhere in our area for any situation you deem necessary.

CISM Training: The ICISF: Individual Crisis Intervention and
Peer Support certification class is the foundation for all other
CISM training. It is designed with the first responder in mind.
You do not need to have prior training. This is the minimum
training required to be an active member of the CSEMS CISM team.
